But to beat our best-seller, it had to take a hard beating from our Recipe Development Team. Our plastic-free Bowl Brush had to be strong, durable and do just as good a job of cleaning the Thermomix mixing bowl as the original. And at the end of the six-month trial, our team didn’t want to give it back! And we want to give a shout-out to the Thermomix Consultant who challenged us to find an alternative to our best-seller. We’re all about helping home cooks make conscious choices for going plastic-free in the kitchen, so we got straight on it.
For the signature easy-grip handle, we sourced bamboo (which is also naturally water-resistant). But to be truly plastic-free, our Bamboo Bowl Brush needed plant-based bristles too. We found the answer in tequila! Or to be more precise, the native Mexican agave plant that produces tequila and a fantastic natural fibre they call sisal. We’re totally stoked with the result.
